Man Invokes God as Protection, Gets Eaten

While visiting a zoo in Kiev, Ukraine, a man decided it was a good idea to show everyone there that god really did exist. In fact, to prove it he lowered himself into the lion's pit in a valiant effort to clarify any doubts non-believers had about the existence of a higher power. This is what happened (from Reuters):

"'The man shouted 'God will save me, if he exists', lowered himself by a rope into the enclosure, took his shoes off and went up to the lions,' the official said.

A lioness went straight for him, knocked him down and severed his carotid artery."

Turns out there *just-might-be* a higher being, one with infinite wisdom and power over us mere mortal, and with a wonderful sense of humor to boot. Best part? The lions had been fed the day before, so they weren't even hungry!
